THE REAL (ESTATE) STORY By Larry Underhill FORTY YEARS AGO this month, Julie and I moved our little family to Lodi. We had SOLD our tire biz in Concord and we were ready for a new adventure. WE SEARCHED up and down the 1-5/99 Corridor from Marysville to Modesto for a new place to put down roots. We loved Lodi. Still do! THE HORSIE PARK: Anybody remember the metal horse swings at Emerson Park? My kids loved them...except when the metal horsies got HOT or when the seams along the horses' backs pinched their little behinds. The kids would play in the park while Julie and I perused a Lodi map (Remember paper maps?) and looked at listing information as we shopped for our first Lodi home. THREE DAYS ON MARKET! That's all it took. John DuBois' new Lodi listing is safely in escrow at full price. I didn't even have time to tell you about it! SIMILARLY, Angel McGregor's new listing (mentioned in last week's rant) went active last Friday and had a full price offer Monday. As of this writing, we're still hammering out the details. BOTTOM LINE: Properly priced and well-presented homes are SELLING. COMING SOON! I'll tell you about it in next week's ramble. Woodbridge beauty! Over 2000 square feet of charm. It'll be priced right.
