THE REAL (ESTATE) STORY By Larry Underhill "THERE ARE TWO GODS. There is the God that people generally believe in - a God who has to serve them. This God does not exist. But the God whom people forget - the God whom we all have to serve - exists, and is the prime cause of our existence and of all that we perceive." (Leo Tolstoy) I GET THE PRIVILEGE of sharing the Hope I found way back in the early 197O's during this Easter season. In the late 1960's and early 70's, like many others of my generation, I was searching for meaning and purpose. Like many, I looked in a lot of odd places! When I finally came to the end of myself, I met Jesus Christ. This Sunday, along with fellow brothers and sisters all over the world, I'l celebrate His victory over "The Last Enemy Death itself. FAR OUT, MAN! In the bad old days, I sought "Cosmic experiences" through hallucinogenic drugs. Ultimately, I found the eternal perspective I sought.in the Bible! You can't get much more "Cosmic" than this: Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through Him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see- such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through Him and for Him. He existed before anything else, and He holds all creation together. (Paul the Apostle in Colossians Chapter 1) That's the God I serve. Happy Resurrection Day!
