NOTICE OF ELECTION OF TRUSTEES TO THE LODI UNIFIED BOARD OF EDUCATION in the County of San Joaquin, State of California, on the 6th day of November, 2018, for the purpose LODI UNIFIED SCHoOL DISTRICT NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO ALL QUALIFIED ELECTORS that an Election will be conducted of electing members to the Board of Education: ELECTION OF: 1 MEMBER 1 MEMBER 1 MEMBER 1 MEMBER TERM FOUR-YEAR TERM COMMENCING 12/11/2018 FOUR-YEAR TERM COMMENCING 12/11/2018 FOUR-YEAR TERM COMMENCING 12/11/2018 FOUR-YEAR TERM COMMENCING 12/11/2018 TRUSTEE AREA: 3 4 5 QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE School District Candidate must be an elector of the District and of the Trustee Area in which he or she is seeking nomination. An employee of a school district may not be sworn into office as an elected or appointed member of that school district's governing board unless and until he or she resigned as an employee. If the employee does not resign, the employment will automatically terminate upon being sworn into office. (Education Code 35107) Declaration of Candidacy forms will be available and may be filed between the dates of July 16, 2018 through 5:00 p.m. on August 10, 2018, at the Office of the Registrar of Voters, 44 N San Joaquin Street, 3rd floor, Suite 350, Stockton, CA. If, however, an incumbent does not declare candidacy by 5:00 p.m. on August 10, 2018, candidates other than the incumbent shall have until 5:00 p.m. on August 15, 2018 to declare their candidacy for such office For information regarding filing for elective office and for information regarding Trustee Areas, call the San Joaquin Registrar of Voters office at (209) 468-8945 or (209) 468-3191. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that appointment to each elective office will be made in the event there are no nominees or an insufficient number of nominees for such office and a petition for an election are not filed within the time period prescribed by law.
